As an independent Maltese company, FreightZone Malta Logistics was pleased to take part in a business exchange visit to Shanghai, providing an opportunity to strengthen business connections and exchange views on the relationship between Malta and China.
Together with Mr Albert Xu, a member of the Youth Committee of the Shanghai Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and Ms Amy Wang, who are both actively involved in promoting business and community exchanges between Malta and China, Mr John Zerafa had the opportunity to introduce Malta and discuss its role as a European business and logistics hub.
John also shared FreightZone’s experience of working with Chinese partners, as well as the company’s own journey and experience in China. Importantly, he presented the company’s story in Chinese, offering the Chinese participants a direct perspective from a Maltese business that has been working with China for many years.
During the visit, the delegation also had the opportunity to learn more about some of Shanghai’s emerging technology and innovation sectors, including developments in brain-computer interfaces and neurotechnology, and their potential applications in healthcare and other emerging fields.
For FreightZone, exchanges of this nature provide an opportunity not only to better understand China’s evolving business and technology landscape, but also to present Malta from a practical business perspective and contribute to stronger mutual understanding between businesses and institutions in Malta and China.
